The project consisted of the construction of a 27,300 sf triangular-shaped aircraft hangar consisting of structural steel columns, with clear-spanning, field erected structural steel trusses, steel joists, and metal roof deck, with pre-finished metal wall and roof panels. The hangar door was 43 feet high and retracted to provide a 201 foot clear opening for the aircraft. In the center of the hangar door there was a fuselage aperture for closure around the tail of the aircraft.
