Project Name:Chem Demil Support Facilities Package A Roads, Package B Buildings, Package C Electrical
Client:U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Location:Pine Bluff Arsenal, Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Magnitude:$8 Million

The project included the resurfacing of 4.5 miles of existing roadway, reconstructing 1.5 miles of Igloo access roads, constructing transporter turnarounds and loading areas, widening a 2.5 mile road, and modifying the existing drainage pipes all within an area of highly restricted access. Outside of the restricted area, was the construction of additional roadways, a new Sentry Station, and Site Security Control Center, complete with an operating vehicle barrier to prevent unauthorized access. Two 100,000 pound electrical transformers, requiring rail car delivery due to their size, were installed to provide adequate electric power to the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Plant on the arsenal.
